He has gained a wide scope of research experience in Paleomagnetism, U-Pb geochronology, Paleogeography and Tectonics, in particular for reconstruction of the Precambrian supercontinents Nuna and Rodinia, calibration of the Neoproterozoic major geo-events and, continental deep structure of north China. He is the author of more than 170 peer-reviewed papers that have been cited more than 7500 times.
